It has been a pretty awesome weekend and the week has gotten off to a good start. I headed to Marshfield on Friday and got to spend the whole night hanging out with my girlfriend's family there. We had a really good time and it was a relaxing night where I didn't have to worry about anything. Then on Saturday we babysat my three little nephews who were quite the handful. They are so fun to be around and they are really comical. It can also be a pretty tiring time too because you constantly have to be watching out for them and making sure they are not into stuff. Sunday was another good day because I got to see my family and get together for the middle nephew's birthday party. This was a really fun time and I got to see some family that I hadn't seen in awhile. Life is just all around amazing and I wouldn't change a thing about it. It is going to be a busy couple months with spring break just around the corner and on top of that in April I will be a concert fanatic. I will start the month off by heading to the Wiz Khalifa concert at Missouri State which I am really excited for. Then in mid-March im going to St. Louis to see Florence and the Machine at the Peabody Opera House. Finally rounding off the month I will get to see J. Cole at Drury.

Sensory Blog

As my favorite new music began playing in my head, I could not help but smell the fresh food being cooked from my bed.

Putting on chapstick to fix my dry lips, I could hear my dog barking at a squirrel doing back flips.

I grabbed my basketball as my alarm began to chime, and headed out the front door to confront the summetime.

Reaching the basketball court there were many people that I would know, laughing there with family so thankful there was no snow.

I would shoot baskets for nearly a hour, drinking flavored water that I hoped would not be to sour.

My nephews were running around without anyone there to see, and the smell of fresh cut grass bringing everyone such glee.

After the game was over i would have to drive my car, to my house to clean up I was glad it wasn't far.

After a fresh shower it was time to head to the grocery shop, for ocean water, chinese food, and fried chicken with gravy on top.

After loading the groceries I listened as the car wouldn't not start, I began breathing quicker the taste in my mouth became quite tart.

A classmate gave me a jump start which was really kind, so I zoomed down the road with the air freshener rocking and a new guitar on my mind.

When i was home I grabbed some night time clothes, before typing on the keyboard for a hour something I really loathe.

Followed by a little mouthwash and laying down on a clean sheet, I remembered this day and realized it was quite the treat.

Last night my girlfriend and I celebrated Valentines day because we both had to work on Tuesday. This actually turned out really really well because the restraunt was not nearly as crowded and we got to really have some good conversation. Afterwards I suprised her with something that she has been wanting to do for a really long time and I hope it really made her night. It was really cool getting to set it all up for her and then experience it with her because I know how much it meant to her that I put the time into it. Another really cool thing that I found out recently was that J Cole ( one of my favorite rap artists) is coming to Springfield and will be performing at the O Reilly Family Center at Drury. It is a really good deal because my girlfriend goes to school there and will be able to get us advanced tickets. This is something that I am really excited about because he is an artist that I can really relate to with his songs and what he is trying to get across. It is going to be a four day weekend at old OTC and it is a break I really needed! Im going to use it as a chance to catch up and just relax.
