Free Write 2/16/12

Last night my girlfriend and I celebrated Valentines day because we both had to work on Tuesday. This actually turned out really really well because the restraunt was not nearly as crowded and we got to really have some good conversation. Afterwards I suprised her with something that she has been wanting to do for a really long time and I hope it really made her night. It was really cool getting to set it all up for her and then experience it with her because I know how much it meant to her that I put the time into it. Another really cool thing that I found out recently was that J Cole ( one of my favorite rap artists) is coming to Springfield and will be performing at the O Reilly Family Center at Drury. It is a really good deal because my girlfriend goes to school there and will be able to get us advanced tickets. This is something that I am really excited about because he is an artist that I can really relate to with his songs and what he is trying to get across. It is going to be a four day weekend at old OTC and it is a break I really needed! Im going to use it as a chance to catch up and just relax.

Free Write 2- 1/31/12

This week is starting off really good. The weather is amazing and it's crazy that the temperature is already 60 degrees at 8 in the morning. Having some warm weather and keeping up with school are making my week go a lot better. I got the chance this weekend to try ice skating for the first time. Without the girlfriend i probably would have fallen multiple times but with her help i stayed up the entire night. It was really fun but hard to do on a full stomach! This week should be pretty mild when it comes to school work and errands to do. This is nice because it will give me a chance i desperately needed to catch up on things going on around the house. The super bowl is this weekend and I can say without a doubt that I am rooting for the Patriots to win. I just can't stand the Manning brothers or the Giants head coach. One thing that I would like to do soon is find a good book that I can get into. I really enjoy classics or books that have a old time feel to them. Reading is something that I really need to get into more. Another good part of this week is that tomorrow is Wednesday which means I get to go to church. This is something that I have recently got back into full time and it is such a great feeling. Getting to share it with my girlfriend has been a life changing experience that means the world to me and I know we will carry it with us for the rest of our lives.

Free Write 1/24/12

This semester of college is going to go really well and I have a great feeling about how it is starting off. I have a math class that is going to challenge me but I know i can make it through. I'm also taking a Comp. Applications class as well as a American Government class. The best part of my schedule though is the fact that I have English 1 with Prof. Neuburger again. Im excited about this because I really enjoy his teaching style and how he incorporates computers and technology into his daily classroom activities. This is something that I like a lot and interests me. It should be a fun class that lets me be creative and gives me some new ideas on how to use technology in a writing format. I am also pretty excited for church tomorrow night and dinner with friends beforehand. I can honestly say that I am really enjoying James River and the style of ministry they bring to a younger crowd. It has me at a spiritual level that makes dealing with normal everyday life a lot easier. For a final note I am exhausted from playing basketball with some friends until 11:15 last night! I feel a nap coming on very quickly!
